Bob Perkowski was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut and has been living all his life along the Connecticut coast of Long Island Sound. Since early childhood he always knew he wanted to be an artist. He received his art education at the Paier College of Art, majoring in fine art and illustration. He then pursued a career as an illustrator, graphic designer and art director, while always finding time for his true passion, painting. Now, Bob dedicates most of his time to his art, painting every day (when he's not on the "Sound" fishing).

An abstract realist painter of still life, landscapes and seascapes, he paints mainly in oil and watercolors. His fascination with the sea, and anything related to it, is reflected in a majority of his recent works.

An award winning artist, Bob has exhibited work in shows throughout New England and New York. Some of the juried exhibitions include the Hudson Valley Art Association Annual at the Newington-Cropsey Foundation Gallery, New York. The New Haven Paint & Clay Club Annual Exhibitions, The Connecticut Watercolor Society Annuals and Members show. The New Britain Museum of American Art, The Discovery Museum, The North East Watercolor Society Annual and The Cape Cod Art Association Annual.

He's an artist /member of the American Society of Marine Artists, The New Haven Paint & Clay Club in New Haven, Connecticut and The Connecticut Watercolor Society.
