A calm, balanced painter of nature, Hanneke Goedkoop expresses, in sensitive oils and bold prints, deep insight into the essential unity of all life. Ms. Goedkoop was born in Holland and attended art schools in Belgium and the United States. She works in the Stamford, Connecticut studios of the Loft Artists Association. A longtime resident of Darien, Connecticut, Ms. Goedkoop has deep roots in the local arts community; in addition to her other activities she founded the Portside Gallery of the Rowayton Arts Center in Rowayton, Connecticut and for ten years served as its curator. Ms. Goedkoop is represented in numerous private collections, here and abroad, and her work has appeared in national juried shows.
