Leona Frank was born in New York, and has lived in Westport, Connecticut with her husband and two children for twenty years. She graduated, with honors, from Queens College, New York, with a B.A. in Art, having studied with Herb Aach, Robert Birmelin and John Ferren.
 

Leona's representational still lifes are executed in acrylics. Her paintings are an integration of her interest in color, design and movement, and explore the relationships between two-dimensional patterns and three-dimensional objects. Leona's work interprets the still life in a painterly, expressive style. She takes the viewer on an exciting visual journey into and around dynamic canvases of rich and vibrant color. Leona Frank's paintings are included in numerous private and corporate collections. She is a member of Connecticut Women Artists and New Haven Paint & Clay Club.
